VAN GOGH: "GREATEST HITS" IMMERSIVE EXHIBITION, ALICANTE
Get ready for the VAN GOGH “GREATEST HITS” Immersive Exhibition: a vibrant symphony of lights, colours and sounds that will transport you to the creative world of a great artist's paintings. The Exhibition comes alive thanks to the intense and expressive colours, and the artist's most famous works, from the iconic Sunflowers, to The Starry Night or his Self-Portrait of Him. VAN GOGH “GREATEST HITS” Immersive Exhibition is a unique idea to spend time with your loved ones. The exciting world of the artist will interest both those who have just begun their adventure with art history, as well as expert connoisseurs of the painter's work.
Itinerary: Our first stop of the trip is the Convention Hall, Pavilion I of IFA - Fira Alacant, located near the Alicante Airport. We have reserved our group entrance for 11:30 hrs. The entrance fee is included in the price of the ticket. We plan on at least one hour to experience the immersive show. Then we will travel to the Marina and Old Town area of Alicante. You may enjoy the local restaurants and Old Town area at your leisure. Please note lunch is not included in the price of the trip.
Trip Schedule:
09:30 hrs.: Bus departs Jávea Interiors, Avda d'Ausias March, 11, Jávea
09:50 hrs.: Bus departs Mas y Mas on the N332
10:20 hrs.: Bus departs Hotel Villa Gadea, Altea, Partida Villa Gadea, Altea
11:30 hrs.: Group reserved entrance time to the exhibition.
13:00 hrs.: Bus departs exhibition area to downtown Alicante.
16:30 hrs.: Bus departs from The Melia Hotel, located at the Marina in Alicante.
Members: €30; Non-members: €35. Members and those bringing Non-member guests have priority booking until 27 May. Non-members only are invited to purchase tickets one day later, on 28 May, if space is available. This trip is limited to a maximum number of 40 guests. The entrance fee to the Exhibition is included in the price of the trip.

DALI-METAMORPHOSIS
The Museum of Fine Arts of Alicante presents a monographic exhibition of Salvador Dalí, making history in the province. With more than 230 works, including oil paintings, sculptures, watercolors and engravings, the exhibition revealed the connection between Dalí's work and the world literature of authors such as Dante, Ronsard and Lewis Carroll.
21 November 2023: MARQ Museum, Alicante Trip
This event was organised to visit the exhibition of the Xi'An Terracotta Warriors. 27 members and non-members were delighted to experience the story told through fascinating first-class exhibits of the era, the full-size statues and designer vignettes. To view the photos, go to the BLOG page.
26 October 2023: Bancaja Fundación, Valencia Trip
On a somewhat unseasonable windy day, 40 members and non-members enjoyed a wonderful day in Valencia at the Sorolla Through the Light exhibition at Bancaja Fundación. The highlight of the day, was the larger-than-life projected images of Sorolla's paintings. Additionally, another unusual exhibit was the virtual reality experience--- incredible, but not for everyone! The gallery of paintings encompassed Sorolla's early work to his late period.
