We are a non-profit art education organisation located in the Costa Blanca area of Spain. Our members are primarily from Denía, Jávea, Moraira, Calpe to Altea. The Society is affiliated to The Arts Society UK, which is a global arts education charity promoting enjoyment and knowledge on all areas of the arts. Their accredited lecturers present to our members at venues in Moraira and Jávea on all art-related cultural subjects, of interest to all nationalities.

The Adoration of the Magi: From Catacomb to Christmas card, who were the Wise Men of Christian art? By Dr. Geri Parlby
They’ve adorned our Christmas cards; taken pride of place in our cribs and school nativity plays and provided centuries of artists a chance to add a dash of exotic colour into their mellow scenes of the birth of Christ. In this lecture we will be looking at the oldest images of the Magi from as early as the 3rd century; the legend that links them with the first Christian artist and their metamorphosis into the exotic kings.
