ABOUT THE LECTURE
Rome’s art and architecture were some of the finest of man’s creations. In this talk, Dr. Roberts presents beautiful works of art - sculpture, mosaic, wall-paintings, silver and jewellery - to trace the history of this mighty city. The talk focuses on Rome’s golden age – from 30 BC to AD 200, when Emperors such as Augustus, Nero and Hadrian reigned, and filled the city with palaces, temples, theatres, libraries and other incredible monuments.
