About The Event
Wednesday, 4 November 2026: 130 Years of Sorolla: Master of Light, narrated by Aranxta Sardina. Join us as we are guided on an artistic journey through Joaquín Sorolla's rise to international fame as the premier Spanish impressionistic artist. In 1896, Sorolla travelled to Jávea looking for inspiration for his paintings. There he captured the magical light of the Costa Blanca in luminous and vibrant depictions of Spanish life. His subjects range from the raisin pickers, fishermen, and family beach scenes of everyday life, to sunlit landscapes. Arantxa is a gifted art historian who is an expert on the life of Joaquín Sorolla.
