Dame Zaha Hadid est décédée le 31 mars 2016 à l'âge de 65 ans. Elle est l'une des architectes emblématiques du XXIe siècle. Les historiens de l'architecture reconnaissent Zaha Hadid pour sa passion pour l'architecture et ses créations innovantes. Née en Irak, elle s'est installée en Grande-Bretagne. Sa réputation était glorieuse et prestigieuse.

Zaha Hadid was a star architect, a teacher at many prestigious universities, an artist and a designer. She died at 65, at the peak of her career working on 36 projects. However, her fame came late in her career and for many years she did not get assignments though she won many competitions. She is a woman of extraordinary perseverance and courage who in the end smashed the crystal ceiling of the world of architecture.
