L. S. Lowry was revered as an artist with a heart for depicting everyday life. His paintings mainly depict Pendlebury, Greater Manchester, as well as Salford, England. Lowry painted scenes of life in the industrial districts of North West England in the mid-20th Century. Presented by Michael Howard, an engaging speaker who will lead us to ask the question: can L.S. Lowry be claimed as the British Van Gogh?
